Ma'Leah Marie Walker

My Story

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been the one asking questions, starting conversations, and connecting with people. I’m an extrovert at heart. By the time I reached my senior year of high school, I knew I wanted to ask questions for a living and turn my curiosity into a career.

Now, I’m a rising senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in Mass Communications with a minor in Journalism. Throughout college, I’ve been sharpening my skills in writing, reporting, and broadcasting. I'm currently involved with Niner Times, UNC Charlotte’s student-run news organization, where I contribute to campus storytelling and media production.

At my core, I’m passionate about storytelling, especially when it comes to amplifying underrepresented voices and sharing stories that matter to the community.
